2002-03 Bayern Munich Home European Shirt BNWT (w/ UCL sleeve patches) XL

Football Shirt Collective

A shirt made for European nights in Munich.

Condition: BNWT

Shirt Story: For the 2002-03 season, Bayern Munich and adidas released alternate home kits for the club’s Champions League campaign, wearing a maroon home kit in the Bundesliga, and this red shirt for their European games, hence the Champions League sleeve patches.

Aside from the red base and adidas shoulder stripes, this design also included a spotted design down the shirt’s sides, perfectly framing that famous T-Mobile shirt sponsor, while their domestic shirt retained the Opel sponsor.

Unfortunately, we were only treated to a handful of appearances from this shirt, as a disappointing Bayern finished bottom of their group with only two points, but after a couple of years in maroon, it marked Bayern and adidas’ return to red home shirts.
